The Kiwi swimming team. Picture / David Frost New Zealand swimmers have had another stunning day in the Darwin Outgames pool, adding another pile of medals to their haul. A mixed group of Elizabeth Anderson, Edward Jenner, Jenny Rankine and David Frost gave the Kiwi contingent plenty to cheer about when they won gold in a 200 Metre Medley Relay on Sunday. Rankine, Jenner and Frost also won solo golds yesterday, while Anderson nabbed a silver medal. Auckland’s Cynthia Borne and Wellington’s Richard Arnold had impressive days in the pool, each winning two golds. Wellington’s Martin Kaulback added golf and bronze medals to his haul, teammate Jeremy Clarke picked up a bronze, while Auckland’s Damien Strogen has a silver medal to bring home, as does teammate Kate Paulin. One of the more memorable races of the day was the men’s 50 to 54 age-group 100 metre backstroke, where three New Zealanders finished in the top three places. David Frost claimed gold, Hamish Allardice silver and Julian Foster bronze.
