Donor fatigue may have caused slump

Tue 29 Apr 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News

World AIDS Day collectors / GayNZ.com The New Zealand AIDS Foundation believes a lower take on World AIDS Day last year, in Auckland in particular, could be down to donor fatigue. The 2013 World AIDS Day appeal raised just $17,600, well down on the more than $30,000 it has raked in each year since 2008. “Though the figures were down in Auckland, Wellington did well as usual,” NZAF Executive Director Shaun Robinson says. “Perhaps, it can be put down to donor fatigue - there is a street appeal every week in Auckland. “We’re enthusiastic about the coming year and as always welcome volunteers to come out to help on the day.”
