More than 70 films coming to Out Takes

Wed 16 Apr 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News

The feast of films in the 2014 Out Takes line-up will be revealed at a launch party in Auckland next week. Mr Gay New Zealand Troy Williams will make the announcements at Poof (now 'Pop') on Ponsonby Rd on Thursday 24 April. Out Takes organisers say they have selected more than 70 films from more than 500 submissions from all over the world, ranging from feature- length and documentaries, to 3-minute short films. Out Takes began in Wellington in 1995 and later expanded to Christchurch in1997 and Auckland in 1998. This year it’s returning to Christchurch after a hiatus. The launch is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 5.30PM for a 6PM start. Anyone who arrives before 6PM will be offered a complimentary drink.
