Picture / Plunket A pair of gay dads and their baby daughter will be among those meeting with Prince George and his parents at Wellington's Government House today. Jared and Ryan Mullen and their daughter Isabella will join a Plunket nurse and nine other Plunket families in meeting the young Royal family in a parent/child support group. Jared is from the US while Ryan is from Australia. Plunket New Zealand President Tristine Clark has told The Telegraph “The parents are a spread of all the communities in New Zealand, including Maori, Samoan, people of Chinese descent and gay couples. The Mullen family "This is a very multi-cultural country and we wanted the Duke and Duchess to meet people from all backgrounds.” She says the Duke and Duchess did not specifically ask to meet a gay couple, leaving the choice of parents entirely down to Plunket. “We are just so excited to be a part of the visit. Their time in New Zealand is so limited so to get the opportunity to introduce them to Plunket is such an honour,” Clark says.
