Homosexual Law Reform papers lost in fire

Pic: Twitter Documents from the Homosexual Law Reform fight in the 1980s are among the items lost in a Wellington storage shed fire. Firefighters have been at the Kiwi Self Storage facility in Kilbirnie since early Friday morning, when it caught fire. Memorabilia, family photos and even Oscars are among the irreplaceable items which have been destroyed in the blaze. Homosexual Law Reform champion Fran Wilde also had a unit in the facility, which she’s told Radio New Zealand was floor to ceiling with papers she was going to use for a book she planned to write. "Half of them were records of the gay law reform battle in the 80s, and all that was unique material which is now gone."
