Chris Olwage Mr Gay World Chris Olwage and writer Joanne Drayton are among those throwing their support behind a fundraiser for specialist sexual abuse survivor support service HELP. Among the many items that will be auctioned at the Colour Me Purple auction next Thursday is dinner with Olwage at Cibo, and dinner with Drayton at FISH restaurant. Drayton says she is excited to get behind Colour Me Purple. The academic and writer has penned numerous biographies, and her latest work The Search for Anne Perry was a finalist in non-fiction for the New Zealand Post Book Awards. She is passionate about meeting people and hearing their stories, especially those who live and work in different worlds to her. “People are our greatest asset and every life has value and dignity, any organisation that works to promote these core humanitarian rights has my full support,” Drayton says.
