No harm done? The pair later had a selfie (Pic: Twitter) Liza Minnelli says Ellen DeGeneres’ joke about her being a drag queen “went a bit astray”, but she appears to be over it. The performer who has been copied by drag artists for decades looked incredibly unimpressed when DeGeneres made the crack that it was actually a drag queen, and not Minnelli, at the Oscars on Monday. “Good job, sir!” she joked, as Minnelli looked confused and annoyed, while her sister Lorna Luft laughed next to her. “I think she thought it would be funny but she never stopped after she said it and said, ‘My friend Liza Minnelli.’ So I think it went a bit astray on her,” Minnelli has told TMZ.com. “I don't think she meant any harm at all and she's a wonderful lady,” she added though. Minnelli, herself an Oscar winner, was at the awards with Luft to see the tribute to their mother’s classic film The Wizard of Oz.
