ZM and Gillespie are brimming with Pride

Fri 21 Feb 2014 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Outspoken ZM host Polly Gillespie says she is thrilled and honoured to be part of tomorrow's Pride Parade. The passionate glbti advocate is also taking part in the pre-parade build-up and couldn't be more excited about it. "Human rights, civil rights and equal rights are and always have been a passion for me, and the amazing support I have had in my career from the gay community has always been so positive," she says. "I'm excited to walk the walk after talking the talk so long." ZM is the official radio partner of the Auckland Pride Festival and has shown its support in a number of ways, including installing a rainbow flag at The Radio Network's Auckland reception and showing its pride on its Facebook page. Content Director Sarah Gandy says the network is incredibly proud to be a part of it. "We love a good party so it makes sense for us to support this vibrant, entertaining festival that has grown into what is now an all-encompassing community event."
