A gay couple has been jailed for six months in Senegal after being reported to the police by neighbours. The Associated Press reports the rare conviction came after the men were at their home in Dakar and admitted having sex. Senegal's penal code allows for prison sentences of up to five years and fines of up to $3,000 for committing "an improper or unnatural act with a person of the same sex".
