Watch: equality a winner at the Grammys

Mon 27 Jan 2014 In: Performance View at NDHA

Queen Latifah has officiated over the weddings of 33 (gay and straight) couples live in a powerful moment for the marriage equality message in the US – on a memorable Grammys night for New Zealand too! The magic moment came after rapper Macklemore and lesbian musician Mary Lambert performed marriage equality anthem Same Love – and was capped off with Madonna singing for the couples’ first dance! New Zealand Lorde took home two Grammys in a fabulous show, which also featured P!nk performing majestic aerial tricks, Madonna rocking up in a smashing suit and Daft Punk (surely!) winning best outfit by wearing robot heads. Congratulations Lorde! The Grammys will be replayed on TV One at 9.15 tonight. GayNZ.com staff - 27th January 2014
