Out in the Square will be flush with rainbows tomorrow There is a chance of some showers for Wellington’s Out in the Square tomorrow, but any rain will be light and short-lived. Civic Square is being prepared for the annual gathering which gets underway at 11AM and will be headlined by Anika Moa. The free event will be all about celebrating marriage equality and the first summer of queer weddings. There will be the usual stalls, info tents and games, along with a raffle with a massive $3,000 in prizes. “It is really great to see the fair coming together. Everyone in the Committee have been working hard to deliver the best Out in the Square yet and we are all thrilled that the day is finally here,” says Co-Chair of the committee running the event Greig Wilson. “It is great to be able to celebrate the Marriage Equality Bill in such an amazing way.” If the weather turns sour, the fair will postponed to Sunday, an announcement which will be made on Out in the Sqaure’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/OutInTheSquare?fref=ts The fair will be capped off with a pair of parties; a pool party at Thorndon Summer Poll from 7PM tomorrow (entry $5 at the door) and a Wild Jungle After Party at Ivy Bar on Cuba St (Buy tickets here www.dashtickets.co.nz/?/event/zh2xj6tdn from Cosmic Corner or on the door) All the profits from the raffle, the Pool Party and the Wild Jungle Party will go towards organising future Out in the Squares.
