Antici…pation is set to be high for simultaneous city-wide screenings of cult flick The Rocky Horror Picture Show during the Auckland Pride Festival. The uncanny creation of New Zealand’s own Richard O’Brien has been captivating audiences since it was first released in the 70s, with theatre screenings complete with audience dress-ups and participation still happening all over the world. Rainbow Youth is leading this film party, and has organised screenings at five different venues on Wednesday 19 February at 7.30PM. It will show at Unitec in Mt Albert, Raye Freedman Library in Remuera, Massey in Albany and AUT's city and south campuses. Tickets are $10 for Rainbow Youth members and $16 for everyone else, and include a special ‘props bag’. They are available online here or from Rainbow Youth’s K’ Rd drop-in centre.
