Mau tweets departure from Seven Sharp

Tue 17 Dec 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News

Ali Mau Ali Mau is apparently leaving Seven Sharp. The journalist and TV host has tweeted that Friday will be her last day. “Exciting! Sad! But exciting!” she says. Her co-host Jesse Mulligan has quickly tweeted: "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" in response to the announcement. Mau has been on Seven Sharp since it replaced Close Up in February. Identifying as bisexual, she has been engaged to partner Karleen Edmonds since February 2012 and is consistently outspoken on glbti issues. There is talk that gay sometimes-host Tamati Coffey is leaving the show too. He had been tipped to permanently replace the already-departed Greg Boyed.
