Sunday a "Day of Rage" over Indian law

Sat 14 Dec 2013 In: International News View at Wayback

A "Global Day of Rage" will be held on Sunday in response to India’s moves to put glbti people back in the closet. The nation’s Supreme Court has brought back a colonial-era law banning gay sex. Indian glbti activists have called on the world to help support them in their time of need. “This judgment has inspired anger across different sections of society around the world,” an organiser says on the Day of Rage Facebook page. “While the legal battle continues, it is important that we make our voices heard. Loud and Clear.” Protests will be held across India, as well as in London, Cambridge, An Arbor, Toronto and Sydney.
