Proud to return to iconic Auckland venue

Proud was a packed and pumping end to the first Auckland Pride in February Auckland Pride's closing party Proud will once again be at the Victoria Park Market complex, but this year it will be right after the Auckland Pride Parade. The refurbished Auckland landmark was packed for a multi-space extravaganza to close out the first ever Auckland Pride Festival in February this year. There was live entertainment at DJs at the iconic brick chimney, and a range of areas with different vibes and music styles. Next year Proud will be back at Vic Park, and will be held on 22 February after the Auckland Pride Parade, which will be in the evening rather than the afternoon. Other events that have been confirmed as part of Auckland Pride 2014 are the Pride Gala on Friday 7 February at Q Theatre. On Sunday 9 February, the celebrations come out into the sunlight, the Big Gay Out, Bear New Zealand Week, Heroic Gardens and Pam Ann’s first New Zealand show.
