Mon 25 Nov 2013 In: International News

Tarence Mitchell A high school football player in the state of Connecticut has been arrested after allegedly fatally stabbing his male lover to death, because he was threatening to out him. Tarence Mitchell, 18, is accused of stabbing Ronald Taylor Jr, 27, a number of times with a steak knife. He later died from his injuries. The teenager has told police he felt threatened when Taylor turned up at his home uninvited, and that he stabbed him after he hit him in the face. Eye Witness News reports that Mitchell confessed to police that for the past two years Taylor provided him with alcohol and marijuana, and they had a sexual relationship. He says when he tried to end the relationship last year, Taylor threatened to out him. “Taylor posted a picture of him on Facebook that included a blog of bad things about him, including him being a Bloomfield gay football star,” a court document says. He claims Taylor also threatened him with a sword earlier this week. “It's indescribable and heartbreaking,” Tyra Smith, Mitchell's mother, has told Eye Witness News. “My son's a good kid. He's never been in trouble before. I send my deepest condolences to the victim's family. My son's not a murderer.”
