Ayden Keenan-Olson A British inquest is looking into the suicide of a 14-year-old boy, who took his own life after making 20 complaints about homophobic and racist bullying to his school. Ayden Keenan-Olson left two suicide notes saying how he could no longer cope with the homophobic and racist bullying he experienced at his school in Colchester, Essex. He’d come out to his parents just before Christmas, three months before his death. His mother, who works as a child abuse campaigner, broke down in tears during the hearing. She says he was bullied to death. “My job is to protect kids online but I could not keep my own son safe,” she said, according to a report in The Telegraph. She said her son idolised gay TV presenter Gok Wan, which led to him being bullied and called “Gok”. The school confirmed he had reported up to 20 incidents of bullying since 2010.
