Genderbridge looks at closer OUTLine ties

Tue 12 Nov 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Genderbridge is proposing to work more closely with OUTLine after being disincorporated as a society and becoming a community organisation. The Auckland-based peer-to-peer support network for transgender, transsexual and gender diverse New Zealanders now has a ‘flattened hierarchy’. At a recent meeting of members, a plan to work more closely with OUTLine was discussed. Genderbridge’s aspirations going ahead are to increase its visibility and participation and increase the participation of phone volunteers in OUTLine’s work. It wants to continue discussions about the mechanics of a closer relationship with OUTLine, but is offering members a final chance to comment first. Genderbridge can be found on Facebook here
