Sat 9 Nov 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

All couples in the gay community are being welcomed to attend the inaugural Gay Wedding Show, whether they are planning to get hitched or not. Marketing and Events Manager Peter Clark says Sunday's event will be a chance to celebrate the the law change with those who are planning weddings. The function at Auckland's Ellerslie Events Centre will feature more than a hundred exhibitors from across the country. Clark says many have gone all out with their stands. "Think of the show as party or carnival to celebrate gay marriage, as well as a productive wedding show," he says. Clark says there will be delectible food, strawberry cocktails, plus a cabaret, music and fashion show on stage. He says the show sets out to be the most accessible and informative event of its kind, offering every style of couple a high profile event, promoting equality and acceptance within the wedding industry.
