Gay icon Dolly Parton says she is “coming home” to kick off a world tour at Auckland’s Vector Arena in February. The Friday 7 February show will be her first in New Zealand in more than three decades, and Parton makes it clear she is excited to be coming back. "New Zealand, here I come again. We have a lot of new and exciting things for the show and I can’t wait to share it with you,” she says. “I love my fans in that part of the world. You’ve been so very good to me for so many years and I know that we’re gonna have a wonderful time. “It’s a long way from home in your part of the world, but I know I’ll feel like I’m right at home. So New Zealand, I’m coming home. Wait up!" The announcement show comes ahead of the release of her new studio album, Blue Smoke. Tickets go on sale at 9am Monday 11 November. My Live Nation members can be among the first to access tickets during a pre-sale commencing 2PM Wednesday 6 November.
