Tonight at 7PM there will be an official welcome at Wellington High School’s Taraika Marae, followed by a ‘Being a Good Palagi’ tea party, then a party at Rush Bar at 5 Wigan St from 10PM. Entry to the party is $10 for anyone not registered for the conference. Tomorrow there will be a range of discussions and workshops, such as ‘health and gender diversity’ and ‘invisible sexualities within queer communities’. Among Sunday’s discussions will be a ‘gender and prisons’ panel featuring Green MP Jan Logie, lawyer Kelly Ellis and PhD student Cara Gledhill. There will also be workshop on the Family Court gender change process. Online registrations are closed, but organisers will allow people to register at the door.
