Violence committee to report at public meeting

The committee set up to investigate responses to the high levels of violence against gay people in Auckland's Karangahape Road area is to report back to the gay communities at the end of this month. The committee has spent several months liaising with gay and general businesses on K Road as well as police and other agencies, according to committee member Raymond Morgan. "The K Road Business Association have been very helpful, the Auckland Council have given us strong backing through their Community Safety initiative and there have been several meetings with the police," Morgan says.
