Liberace's lover fails drug test, back in jail

Mon 9 Sep 2013 In: International News

Scott Thorson Liberace's lover Scott Thorson is back in jail after failing a drug test mandated as part of his sentence for crimes committed earlier this year. Thorson, 54, came to prominence this year when his book of his life with the flamboyant American pianist and entertainer Liberace was used as the basis for an award-winning movie starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon. Thorson was charged in February with using another person's credit card to buy a computer and a cellphone. He subsequently pleaded guilty to burglary and identity theft. The failed blood test occurred during a court hearing to modify his five years of probation sentence. Thorson's attorney says the positive test for methamphetamine could be due to minor surgery Thorson underwent two days before the blood test.
