Flashmobs by heterosexuals have convened around Russia to show solidarity with increasingly persecuted glbti people in that country. Straight Alliance for LGBT Equality has held a series of successful public protests despite being filmed by police, sending the message ‘from Russia with love’ to the global LGBT community. They say their purpose was to draw attention to Russia's new and draconian laws severely restricting mentions or visibility of gays.
