Fresh snow in time for Gay Ski Week

Mr Gay NZ/Mr Gay World Chris Olwage will be at Gay Ski Week Snow is likely to fall tomorrow on the Queenstown skifields which will be the focus of Gay Ski Week which kicks off this Saturday. The Met office is also predicting lowering overnight temperatures which should help hold the 63cm average snow base at Coronet Peak and the 87cm average base across the valley at the Remarkables field. Gay Ski Week, a mix of sporting and social events and billed as the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Winter Pride event, starts with the More FM Opening Party at Barmuda on Saturday night and follows up with other highlights such as Monday night's ‘Get it on! Bingay’ sponsored by the NZ AIDS Foundation, a take on traditional Bingo with a glamorous host and fabulous prizes up for grabs, and a Karaoke night at SKYCITY Casino with Miss Ribena on Thursday. Mr Gay New Zealand Chris Olwage, who has just been crowned Mr Gay World, will be in Queenstown for the week, "helping guarantee fun, frivolity and laughter," according to Gay Ski Week's wife and wife organising team Sally and Mandy Whitewoods
