Richard Rawstorn and Richard Andrew 8.55AM: Cheers have erupted at Rotorua's bathhouse Museum as celebrant Sarah Bloxham declared two same-sex couples married with the words: "You may each now kiss your husband and your wife." Richard Rawstorn and Richard Andrew, and Jess Ives and Rachael Briscoe are now amongst the first same sex couples to legally marry in New Zealand. In Ponsonby Tash Vitali and Melissa Ray are also now a legally married couple. They held hands as they made their vows in front of Rev. Matt Tittle. Their union was greeted by cheers and shouts from the gathered crowd. They have now headed off down Ponsonby Road in a horse-drawn carriage. Their reception will be held at The Cloud on the Auckland waterfront.
