Robert Gilbert is incredibly thankful The creator of a play exploring life for trans New Zealanders has hit his fundraising target, with a massive last-minute rally getting the project over the line. Christchurch director and playwright Robert Gilbert is using group funding to get it off the ground, and raised almost half the $6,000 needed in the final day. “I am so deeply grateful to the many people who enthusiastically supported this project,” Gilbert says. “There were Facebook postings, tweets and re-tweets and most importantly 83 souls who donated. “I am eternally grateful that this play will be written, and it will have every opportunity to be workshopped and refined with professional theatre practitioners. “My most sincere and humble thanks to all who made is happen.” You can follow the progress of 'Trans Tasmin' on Facebook here
