NZ Falcons rugby team raise $4K+ at auction

Fri 9 Aug 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News

The New Zealand Falcons have raised at least $4,215 in a fundraising auction. More than 50 people attended the event at Marcello’s in Ponsonby last night. The team is training and fundraising for the ‘gay rugby world cup’ the Bingham Cup which is being held in Sydney next year. Among the items that went under the hammer last night were weekends away to the winterless north, consultation and celebrants services, a cruise to Milford Sound and accommodation in Te Anau, a collectors signed copy of the Hobbit, and two whole Lamb meat packs. Organisers expect the amount raised to go up once all the ticket receipts are in.
