Thu 8 Aug 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News

Some of the candidates the party is putting up The homophobic Conservative Party is standing more than 20 candidates in the Auckland local body elections, including its CEO Christine Rankin. On the party’s website, it says the candidates are ‘standing up for families’. Leader Colin Craig is not running himself, as he will stand for Parliament. Craig thinks being gay is a choice, claiming he could be gay if he wanted to. He doesn't believe equality means being the same, or being treated the same, and once infamously tweeted: "it's not intelligent to pretend homosexual relationships are normal".
