Tue 23 Jul 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Alastair Cameron Labour leader David Shearer's gay chief of staff Alastair Cameron has resigned. Sources say it's effective immediately, however the reasons for his departure are unclear at this stage. Cameron stepped down as Chair of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation in April 2012 to take up the key Labour role. He is friends with Labour deputy Grant Robertson, and worked as an advisor to Marion Hobbs when she was Environment Minister. Former chief press secretary Fran Mold is taking over the chief of staff role.
