K' Rd: Former Kamo and DNA site sold

Mon 15 Jul 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News

After ten months sitting empty, the Karangahape Rd space which housed short-lived bar DNA and long-running watering hole Kamo has been sold. The new venture will be called The Shadow. It’s not yet clear whether it will be a gay or straight club, but it will be open from 4PM till late every night. After a major refurbishment transforming the bar from Kamo to DNA, the new nightclub closed after just a year, despite the best efforts of staff to keep its doors open following the sudden departure of its frontman. It has been sitting empty since, aside from being used as a set for an episode of Go Girls.
