Help me find her …

Mon 15 Jul 2013 In: Events View at NDHA

I have a challenge for you, GayNZ.com readers. Help me find the woman who saved my life, and took off with a little piece of my heart. I am an investigative reporter who can track down people who don’t want to be found, faster than most of you decide what to have for breakfast. But she has eluded me. I can’t find her. All I have is a damn rose. I should really start at the beginning. A couple of weeks ago I was walking along K’ Rd with my headphones on, checking my messages as I headed to check out a potential scoop. I didn’t see the bus, but she did. In a heady rose-permeated rush, she appeared, saved my life, looked me in the eye, and left me with nothing but a rose and an aching desire to see her again. That moment our eyes locked together I saw something I have never seen in a woman’s eyes before (and believe me I have looked in a few pairs!). I could write the next great novel trying to describe it, or explain the electric thrill that rushed from my toes to my scalp, then back down and up, all over again. I need to find her. I need to see into those eyes again. I wouldn’t turn to you, readers, but I am desperate. I have looked everywhere. I have been back to that spot, getting as close to buses as I can without actually being hit. I have scoured cafes, spent night after night trolling through K’ Rd bars, but she has disappeared. I know it seems cliché, the whole love at first rescue thing, but I cannot get this woman out of my head. As you know, I think she would be a hell of an ‘interview’, this dizzyingly hot super heroine. I’d like to scoop the heck out of her. I hear rumours she is doing to be at La Balle this month. I will be there looking for her. Can you help? Can you try to snap her? If you can get a picture with her I am sure we can rustle up some prizes. Get your picture taken at La Balle with this mystery woman of roses and you could win some products from the awesome Oasis Beauty.Click here to buy tickets to La Balle, a women's event being held at The Pullman in Auckland this Saturday 20 July, or pick some up from The Women's Bookshop on Ponsonby Rd.
