Fri 5 Jul 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News

Labour MPs Grant Robertson and Louisa Wall with Elizabeth Kerekere (centre) and her work. A new artwork celebrating marriage equality has been unveiled at Parliament. Mana Takataapui was created by Elizabeth Kerekere, and the Campaign for Marriage Equality says it's about: "celebrating LGBTI Kiwis contribution to our nation, our collective strength and our right to live and love regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity". The work is currently on display in the bridge between Parliament and the Beehive and will be there for a month, where it will be seen by everyone taking part in public tours. After that, it will move to an exhibition in Bowen House before finally being hung permanently in Parliament's Rainbow Room.
