The second finalists in ZM’s Fabulous Gay Wedding competition are a civil unioned couple from Hamilton who don’t consider themselves married, yet. Candice and Pamela have been together for five and half years, and were friends for two years before they started dating. “I am madly in love with Pamela, she is my soulmate, and I couldn’t think of anyone better to share my life with,” Candice says in the letter. The couple has bought a house together, so they can’t afford an ‘upgrade’ ceremony. Their birthdays fall on the 18 and 19 August, so the 19 August wedding would be extra special. Just five finalist couples are being selected from the 140 who entered the contest. The theme of the prize is ‘Royal Wedding’ and ZM is going all out to make the day glamorous, with Auckland Council's tourism and events body also lending a hand.
