Drunk-driving killers find love behind bars

Thu 16 May 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News

Two women who were sent to jail for eerily similar killings have revealed they fell in love behind bars. Julie Johnson and Siahn Taylor have told 3rd Degree they have been together for a year and Johnson has moved to the West Coast to be with Taylor. Johnson drove into a crowd at a party in Kamo ten years ago, killing 16-year-old Renee Brown and injuring 15 others. Twelve years ago, Taylor was six times over the legal alcohol limit when she left a party and drove around Greymouth at high speed, and hit and killed a 72-year-old man who was out for dinner with his wife. You can watch their story on 3rd Degree here
