Former NZAF counsellor to face trial in 2014

Silipa Take A man accused of indecent assault stemming from his time as a counsellor at the Wellington branch of the NZ AIDS Foundation will face trial in April of next year. Silipa Take, who is facing two charges of indecent assault of a man or boy over the age of 16, appeared subdued and calm during his brief appearance before Judge Bruce Davidson in the Wellington District Court this afternoon. The charges were laid last October, and arose from claims which first surfaced in 2009. The trial is set down for 7 April and may last up to five days according to crown prosecutor Kate Feltham. In the meantime Take has been further remanded at large.
