Hamilton marriage equality celebration planned

Sat 13 Apr 2013 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

Legalise Love Waikato is planning a "family friendly festival of fun" for next Saturday, in the hope of celebrating the passing of marriage equality legislation. All are welcome for the picnic at Hamilton Gardens' Governor's Lawn. There will be entertainment for all ages, from young children through to adults. It will include a bouncy castle, free face painting, live music, street theatre and an open mic session. "The festival is on Saturday 20 April from 1-4pm, so bring the whanau and a blanket, and settle in for a great afternoon," Legalise Love Waikato says. Marriage equality Bill sponsor Louisa Wall will be a guest of honour.
