Out Takes film fest to spread wings

File photo New Zealand’s GLBTI film festival will run for longer than usual this year, which organisers say is to make room for “some amazing queer films”. In Auckland Out Takes: A Reel Queer Film Festival, will open on Thursday 23 May and close on Tuesday 4 June (the day after Queen's Birthday Monday). There will also be select Waiheke Island screenings between Friday 14 and Sunday 16 June. In Wellington it opens on Thursday 30 May (just before Queen's Birthday weekend) and closes on Wednesday 12 June.
