3.30PM: A Rotorua lesbian has been jailed for a minimum of 17 years  for the “ferocious” killing of her occasional lover after a night of drinking. Justice Patrick Keane has told the High Court in Rotorua Gwenda Sloane subjected Michelle Hoffman-Tamm to a “sustained and unusually ferocious assault” and also mutilated her body.
