Stroking horses “cures” gays, Virginia church says

Wed 2 Jan 2013 In: International News View at Wayback

The “Cowboy Church of Virginia” has reportedly decided that stroking a horse can “cure” people from being gay. Pastor Raymond Bell says homosexuality and other “addictions” can be cured with simple Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. He has told the Gay Star News it’s meant to make men “more masculine” and to “stop being gay.” “EAP can help any person who is living the homosexual lifestyle or involved in it in anyway. “The first common misconception is that homosexuality is genetic, or hereditary, or as some say ‘born this way.’ “Homosexuality is actually a type of addiction. It is not ‘curable’ as a disease because it is a ‘choice driven’ by the person.” The Cowboy Church is a non denominational ministry “designed to allow rodeo participants, farmers, ranchers, and just plain country folks, a place to worship”.
