World AIDS Day volunteer Hamish Allardice in Wellington The year’s World AIDS Day Street Appeal has raised $38,000, which is $6,000 more than last year – and the highest figure since 2006. NZAF Executive Director Shaun Robinson says he’s very happy with the final tally. “It reflects the level of support the four organisations have in New Zealand, but also our collective success in raising awareness around HIV.” Robinson says around 100 volunteers selflessly offered their time to shake a collection bucket. "Body Positive, Positive Women, INA and the NZAF want to thank all of those who were involved in the 2012 World AIDS Day Getting to Zero campaign – because we could not have done this without you," he says. The money is split between the New Zealand AIDS Foundation’s support services and the Wellness Fund.
