Butch/femme identities to be celebrated in AKL

Thu 22 Nov 2012 In: New Zealand Daily News

A public talk will be held in Auckland this Saturday afternoon, to celebrate butch/femme identities and expressions. Queer feminist butch/femme elders will share their experiences and stories. Organisers say it’s to honour their contributions in LGBTI and feminist movements, “and learn and locate ourselves in our rich, colourful and complex histories”. The event is at the Trades Hall in Grey Lynn from 3PM on Saturday. Gold coin entry or bring a plate for afternoon tea. Venue is wheelchair accessible
