Jacquie Grant New Zealand’s “tranny granny” Jacquie Grant has wound up her time at the Human Rights Review Tribunal, after eight years of work she is very proud of. Eight years ago she was appointed for a term of five years, which wass renewed twice firstly for two years then again for a one year term. “During that time I had the privilege to sit on many interesting cases as well I was chosen on several occasions to sit in both the Wellington and Auckland High Courts as a Tribunal member along with various High Court Judges to deliberate on what have turned out to be some landmark cases,” Grant says. “While it will be sad to leave I am proud of my time there and the contribution I have been able to make, I am also proud to live in a country where the fact I am a Transsexual made no difference to me boing appointed.”
