Christchurch Pride begins with Queer Fair

Aunty Pipi is among the entertainers Christchurch Pride is underway with the Q-Topia Queer Fair, which has everything from bear hugs to a stiletto toss. The first event of to mark the return of Pride is being held at Hagley Community College. There is a Cake Stall, Face Painting, White Elephant Stall, Arts and Crafts, Stiletto Toss, Cup Cake Decorating, Cream Pie Throw, Balloon Animals, raffles and giveaways. Bears Christchurch are also on hand giving out free bear hugs. A DJ is playing while Aunty Pipi and the fabulous Miss Mole are performing. Tonight will be the Masquerade Opening Party at CBD Bar, which is hosted by UniQ and the Christchurch Pride Festival. Entry is $10.
