New ad highlights Romney's stance on gay rights

Sun 4 Nov 2012 In: International News View at Wayback

American GLBT advocacy group the Human Rights Campaign has released an ad slamming Mitt Romney’s gay rights stance, just days before the US election. The group says the Republican presidential hopeful and his running mate, Paul Ryan, represent a “devastating leap backwards for LGBT Americans seeking full equality”. The advert features Romney telling Piers Morgan “The gay community changed their perspective as to what they wanted,” when quizzed on why he had become opposed to strengthening gay rights, during the course of his political career.
