Bank's inclusive TV ad includes gay nuptials

The gay couple in the clip Westpac New Zealand has released a new TV ad which features a gay couple getting engaged and tying the knot. “Why can we ask the big questions in life, but not the ones about our money?” the bank asks its new Start Asking campaign. It shows a range of emotive and challenging situations from New Zealand life, from rugby to Sir Edmund Hillary climbing. The ad also includes a ring box being opened in a proposal, then cuts to two men at their wedding with the question "will they?" followed by "who says?" It’s a new tack in New Zealand advertising, which generally excludes glbti people entirely, or makes them the butt of jokes. You can watch the ad below:
