Sat 27 Oct 2012 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

Just 300 people have marched against marriage equality in a protest organised by 30 Tongan churches. Radio New Zealand reports the march in the grounds of the Tongan Methodist Church in Mangere began with a prayer and was led by brass bands. One marcher said she opposed same-sex marriage "because in the Bible it says God created Adam and Eve".
