New Zealand’s Got Talent semi-finalist Chris Olwage is waiting with bated breath as voting is about to close. “Am I gonna make the top three for my week, am I gonna get into the finals... Eeek the suspense is killing me,” the muscled dancer says. “Thanks for the all the support and votes guys and gals, hopefully I make it through so I can give y'all one more dance on the show!” On Sunday night’s semi-final show the gay Auckland personal trainer and fitness instructor performed his take on Stravinsky’s firebird, bending ballet gender norms with his pointe work. Judge Jason Kerrison commended his discipline, adding “I love the fact that you’re exploring an art form and finding its edges. I love that mate, I really, really do.” Rachel Hunter said she was a huge Chris fan, saying she thinks he is absolutely extraordinary. “I just love you. I love you and I think you’re fantastic, your dress is great, your physique is clearly incredible. I take my hat off to you.” Ali Campbell added that he didn’t get it at first, “But I get it now and I think anywhere in Las Vegas would be happy to have you doing your thing.” You can vote for Chris until midday by texting CHRIS to 8981, which costs 99 cents
