Aaron and Andy Wellington’s gay news, views and gossip website AaronandAndy.com is bowing out after four years, and as its creators put it: “1,308,965 hits, nearly 1,000 stories, 11,000 comments, and five threatened lawsuits”. Aaron Halliwell and Andy Boreham say it’s time to chuck in the towel and move on to newer and more exciting ventures: “but it’s been fun, y’all!” After also stepping down from the Out Wellington Inc board, the pair says it’s now focusing on its futures in the real world. “Aaron has recently taken on a challenging new role at his mahi, while Andy is currently on a student exchange in Shanghai, China, and has just accepted an exciting casual role at Parliament,” an announcement on the site says. Halliwell and Boreham say they have ended on a high. Comments have already been closed and the site will slowly be closed down over the next few weeks.
