David Nepia Carroll (picture: NZ Police) An accused conman who has left a trail of alleged victims throughout the upper North Island gay community has been remanded in custody for another month, due to the large number of charges still being laid against him. With a freshly shaven head and clad in a grey tracksuit top, a sheepish-looking David Nepia Carroll appeared via video link at the Auckland District Court this morning. The court heard a further 15 charges of theft and dishonesty charges had just been laid against him, and more are pending. He has been remanded in custody until late October. Three of Carroll’s alleged victims, from upper North Island gaystays, were in court for the brief appearance.
